The story began as an idea to connect creatives in Bayelsa state to share their stories to motivate one another and establish a network to sustain a community of creatives. That birthed what we are today, Bayelsa Creative Community.
BACK has a community that reflects the collective identity of its members. A creative community talks about a “sense of place” which gives members their identity.
A creative community is an engine that drives innovation and brings liveliness and vibrancy to every community’s activities.
It is about bringing art and creativity into the mainstream, supporting and using the talents of creative people and businesses to innovate and create social change and new businesses. Bayelsa Creative Community exists for this reason.

Who Can Be Part BACK?
You are eligible for the Bayelsa Creative Community if you are a business owner or manifest any creative effort such as artwork, music, film-making, dancing, writing, programming, etc.

• Increase visibility by 100% by the end of the first year.
• Strategically position at least ten creatives every month.

Bayelsa Creative Community is a platform that enables Bayelsan creatives and business owners to develop their skills and abilities through its resources and helps them leverage its network to project their ambitions to the world.
We are building an ecosystem where people learn, teach, connect and access resources that will help them to thrive.
The Bayelsa Creative Community was founded by Ebenipere Benny Odumu and Oscar Impact Igrubia in 2021. The idea began as “Bayelsa Creatives Konnet” an annual event aimed at connecting creatives to share their stories to motivate one another.
The third season of the Bayelsa Creatives Konnet is billed for January 26 – 28, 2023.
The three days event begins with a creatives hangout and novelty football match at the Hamilton Garden in Yenagoa.
Day two begins with a fitness walk with takeoff from Opolo Junction to terminate at Ekeki Park.
BACK Season 3 signs off with a conference at the DSP Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall, Onopa, in the Bayelsa State capital.
