BREAKING: Senate Approves Tinubu's First Request

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday submitted a 28-man ministerial list to the Senate for confirmation.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that the list was submitted by Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.

The former House of Representatives Speaker noted that the new ministries may created by the government with possible mergers and separation of existing ones.

However, eleven states including Bayelsa and Lagos had no ministerial nominees.

Others without a minister nominee yet are Adamawa, Gombe, Kano, Kebbi, Kogi, Nasarawa, Osun, Yobe and Zamfara.

Addressing the development, Gbajabiamila said the missing ministers would be filled up ‘soon’.

The full list of President Tinubu’s ministerial nominees and the states they represent is as follows;

●Hanatu Musawa – Kastina
●Uche Nnaji – Enugu
●Betta Edu -Cross River
●Doris Uzoka – Imo
●David Umahi – Ebonyi
●Nyesom Wike – Rivers
●Mohamed Badaru – Jigawa
●Nasir El-Rufai – Kaduna
●Ekperikpe Ekpo – Akwa Ibom
●Nkiru Onyejiocha – Abia
●Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo – Ondo
●Stella Okotete – Delta
●Uju Ohaneye -Anambra
●Bello Mohammed Goronyo – Sokoto
●Dele Alake – Ekiti
●Lateef Fagbemi – Kwara
●Mohammed Idris – Niger
●Olawale Edun – Ogun
●Adebayo Adelabu – Oyo
●Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim – Nasarawa

The nominees will be subjected to a rigorous screening by the Senate on Monday July 31.
