Former Big Brother Naija Season 7 housemate, Doyin David, has revealed that she has no intention of participating in any Nigerian reality TV show again, citing the negative impact it had on her mental health and how she was perceived by the public.

Speaking during a recent podcast appearance, Doyin reflected on her BBNaija experience, describing it as mentally draining and uncomfortably revealing.

She explained that reality shows often misrepresent participants through selective editing, which leads viewers to form inaccurate impressions.

“When you go on a reality TV show, they portray you how they want to portray you. Not everything is how you really are, but they’ve given everybody an impression of you, and some of those impressions are not true,” she said.

Doyin also expressed concern over the harsh judgment she faced from the Nigerian audience, which only made the experience more difficult. She made it clear that she would not return to any local reality show, regardless of the financial incentive.

“There’s a lot that people think about me and think I am, in terms of my personality, that is really not who I am at all,” she noted. “Being on a reality TV show, my experience was very challenging mentally, very exposing. I wouldn’t do it again for any amount of money.”

However, she hinted that her stance might be different if the show were hosted outside Nigeria. “Except it’s a reality TV show outside the country, then I’ll probably take it. But Nigerians are too judgmental, so no, I’m not blessing them with my presence ever again,” she concluded.
