Be Vigilant, Security Conscious – Police Tell Yobe Residents

Yobe state Police command has advised people in the state to be vigilant and support efforts of the  security agencies for a successful fasting period.

The Commissioner of Police, Yobe State Command, Haruna Garba, gave the charge in a statement signed on Wednesday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Dungus Abdulkarim.

“All Muslim Ummah, Imams and other relevant stakeholders are to compliment the effort of the Police by providing useful information and report all suspicious movement(s), object(s), person(s) or vehicles(s) before, during and after Tafsir and Tahajjud throughout the fasting period.

“However, worshipers are advised to be security conscious by locking up their homes and premises while going to worship centers (mosques) as hoodlums always take advantage of their absence to perpetrate their criminal acts”,
