A bill seeking the creation of Federal Polytechnic Bomadi has passed first reading on the floor of the Senate.
The bill marked SB 540 is sponsored by Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas of Delta South Senatorial District, passed first reading on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
According to the lawmaker, the Federal Polytechnic Bomadi “will serve as a transformative institution dedicated to fostering technical and vocational education, equipping our youths with the skills needed to drive Nigeria’s economic advancement.”

“Much more important, is the need to effectively engage the teeming youths of Delta South Senatorial District in creative education thereby reducing youth restivenes and increasing our oil production output in the region.”

Key objectives of this institution include advancing technical education, driving economic growth, and expanding access to education and employment.
