Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has announced a breakthrough in the case of Adeola, the daughter of veteran film star Jumoke George, who vanished four years ago.

In a recent Instagram update, Biola revealed that Adeola has been found in Mali, where she is believed to be working. Despite her discovery, Adeola has yet to reconnect with her mother, leaving the family in emotional turmoil.

Biola shared,
“UPDATE! Adeola has been spotted in Mali. Though she hasn’t spoken with her mom yet, please tell her to call her. She’s currently in the hospital, but she will be happy to speak with her at least. I’ve tried calling her, but she has not been picking up anyone’s calls, and her mom is really worried.”

The search for Adeola was conducted with the support of the Child Rights Campaign (CRC), which managed to trace her overseas. Their investigation found that she had left Nigeria to pursue better opportunities abroad and has faced considerable challenges since then.

Jumoke George, who has endured years of hardship, opened up about her situation in a heartfelt discussion with Biola. She revealed that she’s been without a stable home and has been staying in a church after being forced out of her rented apartment due to unpaid rent. The church leadership, she said, has been assisting her with basic needs like food and shelter.

The veteran actress also recounted how her daughter had briefly informed her of plans to travel abroad years ago but stopped all communication shortly afterward. In her absence, Jumoke has taken full responsibility for Adeola’s children.

Now hospitalized and hoping for a reunion, Jumoke’s greatest wish is simply to hear from her daughter again.
