Bishop David Abioye, a renowned cleric and former deputy head of Living Faith Church (also known as Winners Chapel), has launched his own church.
Having recently retired from his position at Living Faith Church under the leadership of Bishop David Oyedepo, Abioye made the announcement that his church will now hold Sunday morning services.
In October 2024, Abioye, alongside Thomas Aremu, retired from Living Faith following a policy review that set the mandatory retirement age for church leaders at 55.

Bishop Abioye has stated that his new ministry was born out of a divine mandate, rather than personal ambition. After his retirement, he began holding non-denominational services on Sunday evenings, encouraging members to focus on personal revival as a foundation for broader corporate renewal.
At the conclusion of a fellowship on April 27, Bishop Abioye shared that his ministry would now shift to Sunday morning services starting at 8 am.
“Very important information. From next Sunday by the grace of God, our service is migrating to morning. Hallelujah. And the time is 8am. God bless you mightily in Jesus’ name,” he said.
