  • A Bishop has kicked the bucket, after being stabbed during peace making.

  • The tragic incident happened after the priest had attempted to settle a quarrel between a couple.

  • The husband however mistook it for fornication, thereby killing the bishop in a fist of rage.

The presiding priest, and founder of Rapture Empowerment International, Osogbo, Osun state, Bishop Shina Olaribigbe has passed away during a peace making.

According to reports, the couple, who are not legally married but estranged had a long past of conflicts, which the priest had attempted to settle.

Bishop Olaribigbe had gone to the woman’s house on Thursday, January 2 after he learnt she was ill.

The estranged husband reportedly came to the house to find the Bishop there and accused him of frolicking with his wife, which led to an heated argument.

The husband, fueled with rage allegedly stabbed the Bishop in the chest, which killed him immediately.

A source from the church, while confirming the incident to PUNCH said, “The pastor died on the spot after being stabbed.”

The couple were subsequently arrested and detained by operatives of the Dugbe Police Division in Osogbo.

Confirming the incident, the Osun state PPRO, Yemisi Opalola said;

“The couple was estranged but not legally separated. 

“The pastor often mediated in their disputes. On this occasion, he was at the wife’s residence when the husband arrived and allegedly stabbed him multiple times.”

Police force in Benue state have arrested two suspects, following their involvement in the the gruesome murder of an elderly woman.

It was gathered that they accused the woman of being a witch, hence the jungle justice.
