Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, has called for a thorough and independent investigation into the allegations surrounding a supposed N15 million bribe.
Recently, activist and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, released an audio recording in which Bobrisky allegedly offered N15 million to operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an effort to have money laundering charges dropped against him and to avoid a potential jail term at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos.
Bobrisky has vehemently denied the authenticity of the audio, labeling it as fake.

In a troubling social media post, he hinted at thoughts of suicide but later reassured his followers on Instagram, expressing his desire for an open investigation without fear.
He stated, “To everyone warning me about the dangers I’m facing, please stop. I was anxious about the possibility of the EFCC detaining me again, but I’m prepared for any investigation. However, it cannot take place at the same EFCC office where I was previously held. I demand a fair and independent investigation for everyone to see.”
He reiterated his stance that the audio is fake and emphasized that it could have been manipulated. Bobrisky is prepared to defend himself in court against any allegations.
“Anyone can edit audio and present it as real. Those who shared the audio should be held accountable. I am not the person behind that audio, and nothing can change that. If anyone has a case against me, I’ll see you in court,” he asserted.
