A bomb explosion has rocked Borno State, Nigeria, killing an unspecified number of people. The incident occurred on Monday when a vehicle traveling from Rann, the headquarters of Kala-Balge, to Gamboru-Ngala stepped on an improvised explosive device.
According to local sources, eight people died in the explosion, while many others sustained critical injuries. “Women and children were involved. About eight people died,” a local source said.

The Borno State Police Command has confirmed the incident, with the spokesperson, ASP Nahum Daso, saying efforts are ongoing to collate necessary data. “I am aware that it happened. Please, I will get back to you. I am still gathering necessary information,” he said.
