Daso said the operation was led by the Divisional Police Officer of Lamisula Division, who mobilised a team of operatives to the area where the ammunition was carefully uncovered.

“The Borno State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Naziru Abdulmajid, has recorded another significant operational breakthrough in its efforts to enhance public safety,” Daso stated.

He explained that due to the sensitive nature of the discovery, officers immediately invited the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit to handle the situation professionally.

“The area was cordoned off, and a total of 912 rounds of B32 API ammunition were safely recovered without incident,” he added.

Daso also revealed that the Commissioner of Police, Naziru Abdulmajid, praised residents for providing timely information and encouraged continued cooperation with security agencies.

“The command urges residents to promptly report any suspicious movement or activity within their communities,” he said.
