The State Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress in Adamawa has ordered the sack and indefinite suspension of the ward executives for the Gwadabawa ward.

Their sack was hinged on their suspension order on the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.

Recall that the State working committee of the Adamawa chapter of the APC gave an indefinite suspension to Mustapha for losing his unit to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the presidential and governorship polls.

Dr Raymond Chidama, Secretary of the APC spoke with reporters at the party, secretariat on Saturday to announce their sack.

According to him, the sanctions, on the errant party officials were the fallout of the recommendations of the resolutions of the Yola North Executive Committee tasked by SWC to investigate and recommend appropriate sanctions over the unconstitutional conduct of the Gwadabawa ward EXCO.

Following the announcement, the state working committee of the APC in Adamawa under the leadership of Chief Samaila Tadawus, declared Mustapha’s suspension as unconstitutional null and void, and of no effect.

Chidama said the indefinite suspension of the ward officials was made with other far-reaching sanctions that include the removal of all the ward officials from holding their positions with immediate effect.

According to him, the party equally frowned at the actions of some party executives who have made similar adventures recently when they ignorantly announced the suspension of the party’s National Vice Chairman North East, Mustapha Salihu, and the party’s gubernatorial candidate Senator Aishatu Ahmed Dahiru (Binani).

He said:

“State working committee Committee therefore viewed the activities of these miscreants as an embarrassment to the National Chairman, Mr. President and the party. The state working Committee therefore approved the removal from office of all exco members of Gwadabawa ward with immediate effect. Indefinite suspension of all Exco members of Gwadabawa ward from the party and constitution of a seven-man caretaker committee as recommended by Yola North Local Government Executive Committee with immediate effect.”

Chidama further directed all the Exco members of Gwadabawa ward to hand over all party properties in their possession to the chairman of Yola North Local Government Area with immediate effect.
