A 10-year-old boy has been confirmed dead following a punishment he was assigned in school.

According to reports, the teacher in charge had accused him, alongside other pupils of noisemaking, before punishing them.

In the post shared on social media platform, X by a user, @omondike_, the boy, Shawn Victor slumped and died at Red Hill Baraka School.

Explaining further, @omondike_ said Shawn’s mother received a distress call that her son had collapsed. She called the school to make findings and ask why he hasn’t been rushed to the hospital, which the director claimed there were no vehicles.

It was gathered that the mother, in company of some neighbors went to the school, where she took her son to the Life-Care Hospital in Kikuyu, where doctors struggled to revive him, adding that there oxygen equipments were faulty.

After multiple attempts to switch tanks, doctors declared that Shawn was no longer breathing

 

Upon investigations, it was gathered that a teacher had fed him watermelon in order to revive him.

 

Daily Report Nigeria gathers that shawn had been handed the responsibility of overseeing the class to avoid noisemaking, and when noise was heard from the class, the teacher, Mr Austin punished him alongside 5 other students.

Part of the punishment involved running a cross-country course, here he collapsed and began convulsing.
