Nigerian comedian and skit maker Chukwuebuka Amuzie, better known as Brain Jotter, has addressed the controversy surrounding the potential exploitation of Mike Ejeagha’s 1983 hit song ‘Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo.’
The song recently gained renewed popularity thanks to Jotter’s viral dance challenge, which has amassed significant views and comments on Instagram and TikTok.
While the 93-year-old Ejeagha has received considerable attention and goodwill, Brain Jotter’s N2 million offer to him has sparked debate. Some critics have accused Brain Jotter of copyright infringement.

In a video response, He clarified, “I understand the concerns about potential exploitation, and I appreciate that people want Ejeagha to receive fair value for his work. However, I want to make it clear that I haven’t made any money from this song. The N2 million I gave was from my personal earnings, purely out of goodwill, not for profit.”
