Senegal have lifted the 2021 African Cup of All Nations, AFCON 2021.

The Teranga Lions lifted the trophy after beating the Pharoahs of Egypt 4-2 on penalties.

Egyptian goalkeeper, Gabaski was arguably instrument in dragging the game to extra time with sublime saves at intervals.

Liverpool’s Sadio Mane had missed a penalty early in the first, blasting straight at the Egyptian goalkeeper from the spot kick on 7th minute.

While Mohammed Salah caused some trouble to the Senegal defence, Gabaski was the most busy of the two goal tenders.

Senegal were making their third appearance at the AFCON final after losing their previous appearances to Cameroon in 2002 and Morocco in 2019.

Sadio Mane took centre stage to score the final spot kick to gift the Teranga Lions their first continental crown.
