Security agents have successfully rescued 20 medical students who were kidnapped in Benue state, according to the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sewuese Anene.
The students were abducted last Thursday while traveling to Enugu State for a convention, but were freed after a combined effort by security agencies.

Security agents have rescued 20 medical students kidnapped in Benue state, according to the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sewuese Anene.
The students were abducted last Thursday while traveling to Enugu State for the Federation of Catholic Medical and Dental Students’ annual convention.
“It took the combined efforts of various security agencies, including the police, DSS, and military personnel, who combed the forest around Otukpo/Otukpa/Kogi/Enugu axis to rescue the students,” Anene said.
The rescue operation was carried out late Friday night, and the students are currently receiving medical attention.
