Aladja community in Udu Council Area in the early hours of Friday attacked their Ogbe-Ijoh neighbors in Warri South West, both in Delta State.
This was confirmed by multiple sources to our correspondent even as several security alert messages were sent to the public.
A heavy gun battled is said to have ensued between both communities during the attack.
A source who spoke under anonymity noted that the military intervened to quell the situation and arrested two persons from Ogbe-Ijoh.
Daily Report recalls that both communities have been at loggerheads for decades over land ownership.
The tussle had led to the recent implementation of a boundary demarcation by the Ifeanyi Okowa-led Delta State Government.
However, the demarcation process has not been fruitful as both communities have at various times cried out over an alleged infringement on their lands.
