Brazilian Alexsandro Pereira has defeated Nigerian-New Zealander fighter Israel Adesanya at the UFC 281 in Madison Square Garden.
The Nigerian-born UFC fighter had wished to imitate Floyd Mayweather’s strategy for decisive fights when he confronts veteran rival Pereira.
That was not the case as Pereira knocked him out in the fifth round at the Ultimate Fighting Champions (UFC) 281.

Adesanya was seeking a final revenge after losing two kickboxing matches to Pereira back in 2016 and 2017.
Pereira is the only opponent to have defeated Adesanya till their recent combat.
In the UFC218 bout, Adesanya delivered a devastating blow that sent Pereira to the ground just before the first round came to a conclusion.
However, Pereira outclassed Adesanya in the second round and successfully executed a knockout in the fight round to confine the Nigerian to a defeat.
Adesanya loses the UFC middleweight championship to Pereira, ending Nigeria’s reign of champions, just as Kamaru Usman did.
