Two of the gunmen who abducted and killed Rev. Fr. Christopher Odia of St. Micheal Catholic Church, Ikabigbo, have been apprehended by youths of Uzairue community in Etsako West council of Edo State.
Daily Report Nigeria recalls that the gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen invaded the residence of Rev Father Christopher Odia at about 6am on Sunday, to whisk him away.
However, the community youths were said to have given the kidnappers a hot chase, who opened fire on them (pursuers), killed one and seriously injured three others.

The kidnappers were also said to gave gunned down the Reverend Father in anger.
The youths, however didn’t give up even with the casualties on their side until they apprehended two of the gang members.
One of the abductors was burnt to death and the other was rescued from the angry youths by policemen.
The arrested abductor is said to be making useful confessions to the Police Area Command as of press time.
