Eyewitnesses at the scene said the accident happened on a busy stretch of the highway, causing panic among motorists and residents in the area.
Joshua was said to have sustained only minor injuries and was rescued from the wreckage by good Samaritans and emergency responders.

However, two occupants of the vehicle were confirmed dead on the spot, according to a source who participated in the rescue operation.

A witness, Adeniyi Orojo, confirmed the location and severity of the crash, adding that emergency services arrived shortly after the incident.

Fans of the boxer have since taken to social media to express concern and send goodwill messages, while security agencies continue preliminary investigations into the cause of the collision.

Efforts to obtain official confirmation from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) proved unsuccessful, as calls to the commandant, Akinbiyi Babatunde, were not answered.
