The ruling All Progressives Congress has announced February 26, 2022, as the new date for its National Convention.
The new date was disclosed by the Chairman, Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, on Tuesday.
The announcement is coming barely 48 hours after the party’s Governors Forum advised for the convention to hold in February.

Though the governors did not stamp a date for the convention, saying they’re just one arm of stakeholders and cannot take a decision of that magnitude alone, they advised February to be a realistic period for the APC National Convention.
