The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its convention.
The party had initially scheduled the convention for February 26, 2022, but issues such as zoning of offices and crisis in some states served as a threat.
This is contained in a letter of the notification dated February 21, 2022, addressed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), signed by Chairman and Secretary of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni, and Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, and obtained by our correspondent.
Sources at the ruling party’s national secretariat had earlier said that March was being considered for the convention.
