The House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Enugu Federal Constituency, Mr Ejikeme Omeje is dead.
Omeje died in an auto crash on Tuesday morning along the Eden Ani/Nsukka road, near El-Rina hotel, Nsukka.
Although police or Federal Road Safety Corps have not officially confirmed the accident, eyewitnesses told PUNCH that the accident occurred when he was coming back from Edem-Ani town after a political meeting.

It was gathered that the pharmacist and top APC chieftain in Enugu North Senatorial District was driving alone along Erina-Edem Ani road when he suddenly lost control and his car entered a bush and hit a tree in the process.
Okechukwu Ezeme, the eyewitness said Omeje was rushed to a hospital where he died due to serious injuries he sustained in the head.
However, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, was unable to be reached for confirmation.
