Bandits Kidnap Many in Zaria
AK-47 wielding bandits on Friday invaded and kidnapped scores of indigenes in a community in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The incident occurred in Zango area of Samuru, Zaria, in the early hours of Friday, while the residents were still asleep.
No official confirmation has been made concerning the raid by the bandits as of press time.

However, Shehu Sani, lawmaker who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the eighth National Assembly confirmed the attack through a tweet, saying;
“Early this morning, bandits stormed Zango area of Samaru, Zaria and kidnapped scores of people.
“Ahmadu Bello University main campus, College of Aviation and Institute of Transport Technology located in the same area must take immediate preventive security steps to secure lives.”
Early this week, bandits invaded the Nigerian Defense Academy and killed two officers in the process. The incident sent wide shock across the country with many calling for the security architecture in the country to be restructured.
