Bandits kidnap students, teachers

Four persons have been feared dead as suspected bandits attacked the College of Agriculture in Bakura Local Government Area of the Zamfara state.

A yet-to-be confirmed number of students and teachers were abducted in the attack that took place on Sunday.

Confirming the news to BBC Hausa on Monday morning, the college deputy registrar, Aliyu Bakura, said four persons, including a security operative of the Nigerian Police Force and three gatemen, died in the attack.

Bakura said about 15 students, a teacher, and his wife were missing after the attack.

The Zamfara State Police Command was yet to comment on the incident.
