Apostle Bodmas Kemepade, an aide on New Media to the Bayelsa state government has been released by the Department of State Services, following his arrest on Wednesday.

Bodmas was arrested by the DSS over alleged ‘inciting’ following his comments on the state of insecurity in the country.

“Nigerians are no longer safe; the only person who is safe in this country is President Muhammadu Buhari. And the only reason why Buhari is safe is that he understands that Nigeria is not safe and he has therefore isolated himself.

“My people, my Nigerians, all of you should wake up, all of you should wake up because nothing is working again in this country. The security architecture of this country has fallen. We don’t know our left, we don’t know our right. We don’t know where we are going as a people,” Bodmas said in a video that has since gone video.

His release was announced on Thursday by the President of Niger Delta Creek Movement, Comrade Timipre Ndoni.

“All thanks to God Almighty and to all Ijaw Youths, Apostle Bodmas Prince Kemepadei as regain freedom,” Ndoni wrote.

Meanwhile, the Bayelsa state government had earlier distanced itself from Bodmas’ comments, saying he spoke for himself as a Nigerian and not for the government.
