“From findings so far, the President was arrested on the grounds of an open letter he wrote to Governor Douye Diri,” Kings told our correspondent in a telephone chat.

He revealed that Simeon’s whereabouts could not be ascertained as at press time as the DSS and police have all denied having him in their custody.

Meanwhile, the arrested President of NUIS, Simeon Duoduo had written a letter to Governor Douye Diri, expressing disdain towards an alleged ill-treatment of the Body.

In the letter, Simeon lamented a lack of logistics even as the National Convention of the Body billed for July 23 – 26 drew near.
