BREAKING: Court Sentences Senator Peter Nwaoboshi to Jail | Daily Report Nigeria

The Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the Senate, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, has been sentenced to jail.

The lawmaker was sentenced to 7 years imprisonment by the Appeal Court, Lagos Division, on Friday.

He was found guilty of money laundering and related offenses.

Presiding judge, Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke, also ordered for his two companies, Golden Touch Construction Project Ltd and Suiming Electrical Ltd, to be wound up.

The judge’s order was in line with the provisions of Section 22 of the Money Laundering Prohibition Act 2021.
