The date for the commencement of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) is out.

WASSCE would take place for seven weeks, between May 8 and June 23, 2023.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) made the announcement in Lagos on Thursday, May 4, 2023.

Its Head of the National Office, Patrick Areghan disclosed that a total of 1,621,853 candidates from 20,851 government and private schools would sit for this year’s examination.
