The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas has announced the date for the passing of the 2024 budget.
According to Abbas, the 2024 budget will be passed on Saturday, December 30, 2023.
The announcement was made during the resumption of plenary on Tuesday, December 19.

Also, the Speaker conveyed a message from the Committee on Appropriations to the various committees of the House, instructing them to conclude and submit their reports on the budget defense by 8 pm on the same day.
Furthermore, he stated that other budget-related activities, such as compilation, processing, and harmonization, will occur in the interim.
