BREAKING: DSS Arrests Leaders of Protest in Katsina | Daily Report Nigeria

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested the leaders of the recent nationwide protest in Katsina State.

Kabir Shehu Yandaki and Habibu Ruma, the duo leading the “Struggle for Good Governance” protest, were invited to the DSS office in Katsina and subsequently detained.

Another protest leader, Mujittapha Usman, who led the demonstration in Malumfashi Local Government Area (LGA), was also arrested by security forces.

According to sources, the DSS contacted Yandaki, Ruma, and Usman on the phone, requesting their presence to answer questions about the previous day’s protest. However, upon arrival at the DSS headquarters, they were detained and remain in custody.

The protest, initially peaceful, was disrupted by a disorderly mob, including minors, who vandalized public facilities, burnt down an NSCDC patrol vehicle, and razed the All Progressive Congress office in Dutsinma LGA.
