The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested Omoyele Sowore, the 2019 and 2023 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), upon his arrival in Nigeria.
The arrest comes after reports emerged that the DSS had instructed airport security and immigration authorities to intercept and detain Sowore, due to his prominent role in the recent #EndBadGovernance protests.
According to sources, the DSS Director-General, Adeola Ajayi, issued the directive to arrest Sowore, citing concerns about potential unrest and instability.
