The Department of State Services (DSS) has linked embattled suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, to the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
DAILY REPORT NIGERIA reports that the secret police raised questions of a likelihood of a link between Emefiele and the outlawed separatist group.
In a tweet on Tuesday, the Tuesday revealed that Emefiele is being defended by same lawyer representing IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“Is IPOB defending one of theirs???? What a contradiction…..hmmm…what’s the connection? Is someone telling us something? May Maxwell be properly educated on points of law, please.”
The development is coming days after the DSS charged Emefiele with illegal possession of firearms.
This comes after Emefiele’s arrest and detention by the DSS was nullified by a court.
Godwin Emefiele was appointed CBN governor in 2014.
He was suspended by President Bola Tinubu on 9th June 2023.
