EFCC Chairman Bawa Collapses Inside Aso Rock | Daily Report Nigeria

Abdulrasheed Bawa, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, on Thursday collapsed during program at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Bawa was giving a goodwill message at the National Identity Day celebration when he slumped.

According to a reliable source, the EFCC boss stopped talking all of a sudden, staggered before slumping.

Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Pantami, and others present at the event immediately held him for some time, before he was taken out of the hall.

Bawa was nominated as substantive Chairman of the  EFCC on 16 February 2021, and on 24 February 2021, he was confirmed by the National Assembly as the Executive Chairman.

Bawa officially took over from Mr Ibrahim Magu, the former acting Chairman of the Commission.
