Alhaji Sulaiman Baffa, the chairman of the Jigawa Elders Forum has reportedly died at the age of 85.
Baffa had a notable career, having held positions such as Managing Director of the United Bank for Africa, UBA Union Bank, UB, and the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company.
In addition to his impressive professional achievements, Baffa also served as a former Permanent Secretary in the Old Kano state.
His journey spanned decades, during which he demonstrated exceptional leadership and expertise in the banking sector.

Throughout his life, Baffa selflessly dedicated himself to public service, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals.
Mustapha Sule Lamido, Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in Jigawa during the 2023 elections, paid tribute to Baffa.
Lamido said:
”I am saddened by the death of Alh. Sulaimanu Baffa, the Chairman of the Jigawa State Elders Forum and a former Permanent Secretary in the Old Kano State. He was also the former Managing Director of UBA, Union Bank and the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company.
”At 85, he had lived a fulfilled life, which has been highly beneficial to the people. I condole his family and the Jigawa State people while also praying for his admittance into Jannatul-Firdaus by Allah (SWT).
Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihir Raji’un.”
