BREAKING: Explosion Rocks Jos

Many have scampered for safety, following an explosion in Jos.

An eyewitness, who confirmed the event noted that the blast occured around 10:30am today, Tuesday.

The explosion, which sent shivers through the spine of many was reported to have happened near the popular Terminus market area.

 

Although the details of the blast is still sketchy, several people have been confirmed injured, while casualties have not yet been recorded.

“I was nearby when I heard a loud bang,” said an eyewitness. “I saw people running and screaming. It was terrifying,” a cloth vendor confirmed the incident.

Also confirming the incident, a security source at the police command headquarters said;

The area has been cordoned off as investigators begin to assess the situation. We are working to determine the cause of the explosion,” the source added. “We urge calm and assure the public that we will do everything possible to ensure their safety.”
