Nigeria’s Federal Government has filed fresh charges of terrorism against embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
In the amended charges filed before a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, the government increased the counts in the initial charge it preferred against the detained IPOB leader from seven to fifteen.
Kanu, is now expected to enter a fresh plea for a 15-count amended charge with suited title FHC/ABJ/CR/383/2015, signed by the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP, M. B. Abubakar.

The amended charges are coming barely a day to the scheduled commencement of hearing by trial judge, Justice Binta Nyako.
Daily Report Nigeria can recall that the court had on December 2, fixed Tuesday January 18, 2022 to hear pending applications, particularly that of Nnamdi Kanu filed to be discharged and acquitted.
