BREAKING: Fight Breaks Out at IYC Election Venue

Confusion and rowdiness has continued to trail the ongoing elections of the Ijaw Youth Council at Izon Ware, Yenagoa the Bayelsa State capital.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that after a a long delay, fighting broke out moment after the elective convention was declared open by President Peter Igbifa.

The ongoing fracas broke out the moment Igbifa handed over to the chairman of the Electoral Committee, Solomon Urang to announce the delegate list.

Our correspondent gathered that the cause of the fight is attributed to the move by the Igbifa led faction of the electoral committee to present 50 percent of the delegates.

The fighting witnessed pushing among various leaders including the IYC President and the electoral chairman.

As of press time, rowdiness still overwhelmed the the Izon Ware hall, venue of the election.

Efforts by pioneer IYC President, Dr. Fidelis Tuodolor to quell the situation has also proved abortive.
