BREAKING: Former LASU Vice Chancellor, Prof Lateef Hussein Dies | Daily Report Nigeria

A former Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU)

Prof Lateef Akanni Hussein, a former Vice Chancellor of the Lagos State University, LASU, is dead.

Hussein, who was Professor of Physics, served as the 6th Substantive VC of LASU between 2005 and 2011.

Hussein died aged 75 following a illness on Sunday evening.

His demise was announced LASU via its Twitter page @LASUOfficial, on Monday.

Prof. Hussain once worked as a lecturer in the Department of Physics, University of Ibadan.

He also once served as the Chairman, University of Ibadan Muslim Community.
