BREAKING: Ghana Beat Nigeria to Qualify For World Cup

The Black Stars of Ghana on Tuesday defeated the Super Eagles of Nigeria to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

The Black Stars qualified for the football showpiece on away goal rule after holding their West African neighbors to a 1-1 draw away from home.

Captain Thomas Partey gave the Ghanaian team the lead with a fine strike from outside box on 11 minute.

Captain William Troost-Ekong restored parity after converting a spot kick late in the first half.

Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen had a goal ruled out for offside in the dying minutes of first half.

The Black Stars, however, held on till the end of the game to celebrate another qualification for the FIFA World Cup.

Both teams had played out a scoreless draw on Friday in the first leg of the playoffs in Ghana.
