A widespread global IT outage has caused chaos across various industries, with airlines, banks, broadcast stations, and supermarkets experiencing technical difficulties.

The global IT outage has resulted in grounded flights, disrupted online services, and halted broadcasts, leaving millions of customers stranded.

According to reports, major US airlines, including Delta, United, and American Airlines, experienced a system-wide ground stop on Friday morning due to a technical communication issue.

In the UK, Govia Thameslink Railway’s four brands reported widespread IT failures, impacting their services. Additionally, Australia’s Telstra Group and Sky News were also affected, with the latter experiencing a brief interruption to its broadcast.

The outage has been linked to Windows workstations, with Microsoft 365 users facing difficulties accessing cloud-based apps.
