A late night fire on Tuesday gutted the popular Bodija market in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The incident reportedly led to the destruction of goods and properties worth millions of naira havel.

According to DAILY POST, a section of the plank market was greatly affected by the late night fire.
The incident was confirmed by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
The South West Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Mr Saheed Akiode said men of the agency were mobilised to the scene immediately.

Akiode said, “We are there to ensure the fire is put under control.
“Further assessment continues tomorrow,” he said.
Cause of the fire incident at the Bodija market was unknown as of press time.
