Hon. Ishaya Bakano, the Deputy Leader of Song Local Government Legislative Council, Adamawa State was in the early hours of Saturday, killed by unknown gunmen.
It was gathered that the gunmen broke into his residence at Bannga in the wee hours of Saturday, killed him and left immediately.
Hon. Ishaya’s death is believed to have been the target of assassination.

According to a family source, the gunmen also shot his son who is currently receiving treatment at Song hospital.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, who confirmed the incident said the incident happened in the early hours of Saturday, and the security officials are doing their best to arrest the suspects.
