“The meeting of the strike organizing committee has started. Other processes will follow. However, it is important to know that if the government fails to meet our demands, it will be hard for the strike to be called off,” the source said.

The union had on Tuesday, engaged in a meeting with representatives of the government.

The meeting which ended in a deadlock, saw the union members stage a walk out on the renegotiation committee.

According to the ASUU President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, the committee did not offer anything new, saying “the meeting did not go well.”
