The Independent National Electoral Commission in Delta State has rejected the presidential results of the local government area of the vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa.
Okowa, who is also the governor of the state, hails from Ika North East local government area.
The electoral umpire cited over-voting as cause for its decision on Sunday.

Reports had been rife that presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi had won the election in Okowa’s hometown of Owa-Alero prior to the rejection of the result.
In the result seen by Daily Report Nigeria, the PDP secured the most votes from the area.
The presidential results for Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State is as follows;
Total Registered Voters – 131,945
Accredited Voters – 31,605
APC – 1,902
LP – 8,980
PDP – 16,696
Pondi Makes History, Secures 3rd Term With Landslide Victory
The lawmaker representing Burutu Federal Constituency, Julius Gbabojor Pondi of the Peoples Democratic Party has been declared winner of Saturday’s election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Pondi polled 11,863 votes ahead of Emibra Agbeotu of the All Progressives Congress, who scored 5,469 votes.
The lawmaker will become the just the first person to represent the constituency for a third time.
