The Independent National Electoral Commission has suspended the Enugu East senatorial election over the death of Oyibo Chukwu, Labour Party’s candidate.
INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu made this known during a media briefing on Friday in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
Chukwu was killed and set ablaze at Amechi Awkunanaw in Enugu South Local Government Area on Wednesday after gunmen opened fire on his convoy killing him and his personal assistant.
