BREAKING: Israel Adesanya Loses UFC Title to Strickland

Nigeria-born Israel Adesanya was on Sunday morning defeated by Sean Strickland in the UFC Middleweight title match.

Strickland knocked out Adesanya in the fifth round after stabbing out a front kick on the defending Champion.

The American was declared victorious in a unanimous decision by all judges.

Strickland was reduced to tears as his unanimous win was announced.

Adesanya went on applauds his opponent and paid him respect, as they seemingly buried the hatchet.

The match has been described as one of the biggest upsets in UFC history.
