John Nani emerges DESOPADEC Chairman
Olorogun John Nani has emerged Chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Commission, DESOPADEC.
This is as the DESOPADEC board was reconstituted by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
In a letter dated May 22, 2022 and addressed to the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Okowa sought for Nani and other members of the reconstituted DESOPADEC board to be approved.

The letter titled “RECONSTITUTION OF THE GOVERNING BOARD OF THE DELTA STATE OIL PRODUCING AREAS DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (DESOPADEC)”, reads;

“Permit me to inform the Right Honourable Speaker and Members of the Delta State House of Assembly that following the expiration of the tenure of the Governing Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, and in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 7, Sub-Section 1(a) of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (Amended) Law, 2019, I wish to nominate the following persons for appointment into positions in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission in the capacity indicated against their names:
1. Olorogun John Nani – Chairman
2. Chief Festus Ochonogor – Managing Director
3. Mr. Efele Eyewu Nicholas – Executive Director
4. Mr. Favour Izoukumor – Executive Director
5. Hon. Chief Taleb A.O. Tebite – Executive Director
6. Mr. Oghenekome – member
7. Chief Julius Egbedi Reginald Okpobor – Member
8. Mr. Sylvester Ovbije – member
