Former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan is missing from the list of presidential aspirants billed to be screened by the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Jonathan’s absence from the list is expected to be a shock to many as he was just recently cleared by the Federal High Court in Bayelsa as eligible to contest the presidential election.

While several speculations have surrounded whether the Bayelsa-born politician will enter the contest on the platform of the APC or not, Jonathan has remained silent on the issue.

However, Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary of the APC, has revealed that a total of 28 presidential forms were purchased.

He also noted that three aspirants — Chris Ngige, minister of labour; Timipre Sylva, minister of state for petroleum: and Godwin Emefiele, governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) — did not submit their forms.

Also, Akinwumi Adesina, president of the African Development Bank (AfDB), who had a form purchased for him, has since distanced himself from the race.

Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu, former Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, and former education minister, Chukwuemeja Uwaezuoke Nwajiuba leads names of aspirants vying to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.
