BREAKING: Kidnapped Bayelsa Commissioner Regains Freedom

BREAKING: Kidnapped Bayelsa Commissioner Regains Freedom | Daily Report Nigeria

The Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Federal Otokito, who was kidnapped on Saturday by gunmen has been released.

Otokito’s release was disclosed by an aide to the Bayelsa State Government, Patrick Ipidei

The Commissioner was kidnapped by gunmen who stormed his residence about 11pm on Thursday and whisked him.

Taking to his Facebook account, Ipidei wrote;

“Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Federal Otokito, regains Freedom from Kindnapers den.”

Details behind his release behind his release were yet to be made public as of press time.

Meanwhile, Governor Douye Diri had promised that the kidnapped Commissioner would be released without payment of any ransom.
